Erin and Troy. A Callawassie Island Wedding. 05.18.19

Erin and Troy's Wedding Video. May 18th, 2019.

A little backstory from Erin:

“I met Troy shortly after he moved to South Carolina from Michigan while I was there visiting a friend in early 2014. Shortly after we met I moved from PA to Florida and even with the distance we stayed friends for a couple years. Our first official date was New Years Eve, Dec 31st 2015 when Troy came down to Florida to visit me. And from our first date we knew this was something special. The 3.5 hour distance between us didn’t keep us from seeing each other every weekend and only made our love stronger through the years. Troy pulled off a complete surprise and proposed in January 2018 on the beach in Punta Cana while we were on vacation. We knew we wanted a southern wedding and decided Bluffton was the perfect place to have it with Troy still living there."

I think what immediately came across in my first meeting with Erin and Troy is how much it felt like the two of them shared the same sense of humor. I don't think anyone can downplay the value of humor in our lives, and to share laughter with the one person that you're going to share your life with as well is an incredible gift!

The wedding day Erin and Troy planned had some incredible moments! Take a look at the video and look for the letters that they wrote to each other, the first look with Dad, the golf cart fleet, the bacon and bourbon bar, the wedding party making an entrance, the sunset shoot, and the incredible variety of dancing styles. These are some of my favorite moments from their video!

Here's a little insight from Erin about the wedding itself:

"We spent a little over a year planning our May 18th 2019 wedding. And when the week of came we couldn’t have been more excited. We had all our family, his from Michigan and mine from Pennsylvania there to celebrate with us. Our rehearsal dinner was a low country boil and southern BBQ for our wedding party. The day before the wedding while the guys went golfing the girls were being pampered at the salon and then we all met up at the pool for a pre-wedding pool party. Our goal for the wedding was to give our families and friends a taste of the low country. So we planned our ceremony in one of the historic chapels and the reception at one of the beautiful golf communities. Gator bites, a bacon and bourbon bar, May River shrimp and cigar bar were some little touches we wanted to make it memorable for everyone. From getting ready, to the ceremony, pictures, cocktail hour and then the reception, we were so fortunate how smoothly everything went. There wasn’t an ounce of stress and we were surrounded by so much love. And everyone danced the night away!”
