An Autumn Dream
Styled Shoot at HollyOaks Plantation for Dapper Events Co.
The words of this song are on repeat in my head for the last couple of days. The song is appropriately named Fire and Ice by Jessie Villa, and it's perfect for this piece. Would have been even better if this was shot in Iceland, so if anybody's traveling there and wants to bring me for a video like this...
Anyways I finally got a chance to really get dark and moody with a video, and I'm really happy with the results. This was a fun day. The venue is a dream. HollyOaks is opening for weddings in the spring, and you'd all be smart to check it out and book them ASAP. They're going to be quite popular.
Sophie of Dapper Event Co called me up kind of last minute to do this, but I'm really glad I accepted and came out. She did a phenomenal job putting this team and designing the look of the shoot. It was quite the lovely experience!
I finally got to work with Bud Johnson. Loved his work for so long, so I was so excited to finally got to shoot with him. He's very gifted. His creativity and positive energy is endless. Definitely check him out.
Another cool little tidbit about this shoot: the married couple featured here, Tiffany and Anthony, got married a year before this shoot and weren't able to have photo/video of their actual wedding. So this video and Bud's photos will be an amazing gift for them. We really appreciate their involvement in this shoot, and they did a wonderful job.
That's it! So don't be surprised if you see more vides with this dark and moody look/feel. I think this is where the wedding videography art form is at right now, and people are definitely digging it.
