There’s something deeply refreshing about a couple who forgoes the standard wedding playbook in favor of something more personal — more intentional. That’s exactly what Mary Anna and Emir did. Rather than follow the expected sequence of traditional venues and formal rituals, they opted for a celebration that truly reflected who they are: warm, genuine, and quietly adventurous.

Bride and groom exchange vows outdoors, officiant holds book. They're surrounded by lush greenery. Mood is joyful and serene.

Their ceremony took place just off the beaten path in Kavanaugh Park, nestled into a tucked-away spot that felt intimate and untouched. With only the sounds of wind in the trees and the soft laughter of their closest loved ones, it was the kind of setting that doesn't ask for attention — it just allows presence. There were no rows of white chairs lined up in perfect symmetry, no overproduced sound system booming down a long aisle. Just sunlight, emotion, and connection.

A couple in formal attire holds hands, smiling by a fountain in a sunlit park. Tall trees and benches are in the background.

From there, the party moved to Hop Atomica, a stylish and welcoming venue with a modern-industrial vibe and truly incredible food. It was the perfect setting for a reception that blended elegance with ease. Guests mingled indoors and out, laughter echoing between toasts and tacos. And throughout it all, Mary Anna and Emir remained effortlessly at the center — not performing a role, but living the day in real time.

At Ardsley Park Productions, we had the honor of capturing the full experience — both photo and video — and it was a joy from beginning to end. Working with this couple was a reminder of why we do what we do: to tell stories that feel honest and unfiltered, to reflect the character of a day rather than force it into a mold.

We believe weddings don’t have to follow a formula. They can be big or small, barefoot or black-tie. What matters is that they feel true to the people at the heart of them. Mary Anna and Emir proved that beautifully — and we were lucky to be a part of it.

If you're planning a wedding that reflects your personality more than a Pinterest board, we’d love to be there with you.Let’s create something that feels like you — whether that’s in a tucked-away park, an art-filled brewery, or anywhere your story leads.
